He then completed a Mohs Micrographic Surgery fellowship at the University of Washington (UW) in Seattle, Washington.
Dr. Pate specializes in general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. He is an expert in the diagnosis and management of various skin cancers. He has been fellowship-trained in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, also known as Mohs Surgery, one of the most effective state-of-the-art procedures for treating skin cancer.
Mohs is a skin-sparing treatment, meaning that tissue is taken in levels, processed, and inspected microscopically to see cancer at the cellular level. After inspection, the surgeon will remove more skin from the area if cancer cells are still present. As a result, your healthy tissue is spared, leaving you with the smallest possible scar.
He is proud to provide Mohs surgery as an option for his patients. Exceptional patient care is his promise to you and a promise he holds dear. Call the office to schedule your consultation with Dr. Pate, or request one online today.
