What happens during the treatment?
Our Aesthetician uses a blade at a 45 degree angle to gently scrape off the top layer of the skin that consists of dead skin cells and peach fuzz. Yes, you can even see all of the dead skin and peach fuzz after your treatment!
Does it hurt?
No. A Dermaplane is painless! This treatment takes about 15-30 minutes total with no downtime afterwards.
Will my hair grow back thicker?
No! The hairs on your face known as “peach fuzz” are Vellus hairs, which means they will not grow back thicker or darker. They will grow back just like they were before. This is the most common question we get!
Can I get this if I have Active Acne?
It is best to come in for a consultation first to determine if you are a candidate. Your Aesthetician may tell you if you have acne that is active on your face, it may be best until that subsides before getting a Dermaplane. It could potentially irritate your acne.
Are there any side effects?
No, there are no side effects. Your skin may be a little pink 5-10 minutes post procedure, but this should subside.
