Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is an effective method of exfoliation through the use of a blade. During the dermaplaning procedure, your aesthetician will use a blade to shave and remove dead skin cells from your epidermis. This not only exfoliates your skin, but also helps remove the unwanted vellus hairs from your face. This simple and safe procedure rids your skin of fine vellus hair, often known as peach fuzz. The procedure leaves your skin smooth and glowing.

An added benefit of dermaplaning is the state that the skin is left in. Removal of the Stratum Corneum (the outer layer of dead skin cells in the epidermis) allows for products to penetrate deeper into the layers of skin easier, making moisturizing and cleansing a breeze.

Dermaplaning should be considered if you have:

  • Rough Skin
  • Dry Skin
  • Superficial hyperpigmentation
  • Mild acne scarring
  • Fine lines or wrinkles

Each procedure lasts for roughly 4 weeks time. Schedule a Dermaplaning procedure with one of our Aestheticians here at Northshore Dermatology today! Schedule here.

Spider veins are small, visible blood vessels that often form close to the surface of the skin. Most commonly found on the legs and face, they may appear red, blue, or purple and are often shaped like thin lines, webs, or branches. While they are generally harmless, many people seek treatment for cosmetic reasons or to relieve discomfort such as itching or burning.
